How it works.
Predict every match. Beat your friends. Here's exactly how the points work.
The basics
- 48 teams. 12 groups. 104 matches. The 2026 tournament runs across the USA, Mexico and Canada from June 11 to July 19.
- Predict every match. Submit a score for each fixture in the group stage and pick winners through the entire knockout bracket.
- Predictions lock at kickoff. Once the tournament starts, your predictions are frozen — no more edits.
- Points roll in automatically as match results are synced from the official source.
Match scoring
Every prediction can earn up to 5 base points per match (before knockout multipliers):
| What you got right | Points |
|---|---|
| Correct outcome (win / draw / loss) | 2 |
| Home team's exact score | 1 |
| Away team's exact score | 1 |
| Exact scoreline bonus (both scores correct) | +1 |
In knockout matches that go to penalties, the outcome is graded on the shootout winner. Pick the winner correctly and you still earn the outcome points; team-score points are always graded on the 90-minute scoreline.
Knockout multipliers
Stakes rise as the bracket narrows. Match points are multiplied by the round you're in:
Knockout team-pick rule
Knockout slots resolve based on how the groups finish, so your scoreline only counts when you put the right team in the right slot:
- Home goal point — only if you picked the actual home team for that slot.
- Away goal point — only if you picked the actual away team for that slot.
- Outcome points — only if at least one of your picked teams matches the actual matchup.
- Exact-score bonus — only if both teams are correct AND the score is exact.
Example: M73 (2A vs 2B) ends Mexico 2–1 Canada. You predicted Mexico 3–1 Qatar. You correctly picked Mexico as 2A, so outcome points are awarded; the away "1 goal" point doesn't count because you had Qatar instead of Canada.
Group-standings bonus
Your predicted scores also imply a predicted final table for every group. Once a group finishes, you get bonus points for predicting which teams advance — and in what spot.
Positions 1 & 2 (per group)
- • 2 pts — team in the exact correct spot (1st or 2nd)
- • 1 pt — team predicted to advance, but in the other top-2 spot
Best 8 third-placed teams
After all 12 groups finish, the 8 best 3rd-placed teams across the tournament also advance. For each one:
- • 2 pts — you predicted that team would finish 3rd in its group
- • 1 pt — you predicted it would finish 1st or 2nd (still picked it to advance)
A worked example
Suppose you predict a Round of 16 match 2-1 and the actual result is 2-0:
- ✓ Correct outcome (home win) — 2 pts
- ✓ Home team's exact score (2) — 1 pt
- ✗ Away team's score (you said 1, actual 0)
- ✗ No exact scoreline bonus
Subtotal: 3 pts. R16 multiplier ×4 → 12 pts for that match.
Leagues
Everyone competes on the global leaderboard by default.
